Under-utilised tools, accessible to all

As the current situation with COVID 19 keeps changing, it is forcing us all to expand our horizons. And what a horizon this is, we are experiencing a revolution on business as usual.

Part of my job is to discover and evaluate the latest and greatest online systems for my customers. I wanted to share some of my favourites with you. Most of them are either reasonably priced or include a free plan that allows you to grow before paying.

All the below apps work with most websites.

Calendar

This company makes a widget for your website, allowing any visitor to book a meeting with you directly from your web page. The great thing is that this app integrates directly with your outlook calendar and is entirely customisable. You can either be constantly available or only every Tuesday between 15:30 and 15:45.

It also prevents double bookings, as if you have any appointment in that time slot, it will not allow any bookings.

Pure Chat

Have you ever wanted to have your chat interface on your website? With pure chat, it is as simple as 1-2-3 to install and get it running. If you pair it with their app, you can receive customer messages directly on your mobile device anytime you want.

If being available 24/7 is not your cup of tea, with the built-in features, you can set your schedule and add canned responses for convenience. For example, if you have 1 question everyone asks, this would be an excellent way to answer them.

Printful

Have you ever wanted to offer branded items on your site but hesitate on carrying a large stock amount? On-demand, printing is where Printful shines.

With Printful, you can offer hundreds of items branded with your logo, from cups to pillows and all without spending a penny. It is a drop shipping company; this means that you sell and they full fill. Traditional this is managed through your online store.

The best part is you only have to pay for the goods once it sells. So, there is no cash outlay for any of them.

Flodesk

Flodesk is a lead funnel combined with an email marketing campaign and an automaton. Best of all, it has a flat fee regardless of how many emails you send or how extensive your contact list is.

It allows you to set a chain of events in motion depending on the actions of your potential client. It all begins with a prompt for their details. The most common one out there is the pop up promising the extra viewer content, such as a bespoke guide. Once they fill in their details, you can determine when and what emails you are sending.

The process would look a bit like this;

1. Details entered

2. Welcome email sent with a download link

1. If downloaded, they get a thank you email

2. If they don’t download, they will get a reminder in a few days.

And so on.

While it is a bit labour intensive to set up, you can achieve great things once you are finished.
